During it's heyday, Max's Kansas City was a regular hang out for Andy Warhol and his entourage and The Velvet Underground played there on a regular basis. The club was also a homebase for the Glam Rock scene which included Lou Reed (post Velvet Underground), Davie Bowie, Iggy Pop, The New York Dolls and so many more.
