One of the iconic record chains from the seventies and eighties, Turtles records was founded in 1977 in the South Eastern United States. The chain continued to grow and thrive and had reached 126 stores when it was sold to Blockbuster Music in 1993. Sadly, Blockbuster rebranded Turtles stores to Blockbuster Music and closed several stores as well.
