A classic for all time: Nighthawks At The Diner, was a milestone in the brillaint career of Tom Waits. The album is a masterpiece for it's content as well as the manner in which it was recorded. Waits recorded the album in the studio over four different sessions, and he had invited guests to create a small audience for each session, as he wanted to recreate a jazz-club type of ambiance. Needless to say, it was a huge success both critically and commercially and to this day, one of the all time great records.
