The source photo used for this painting comes from the Stones 1981 Tour. I saw them on that tour in Hartford Connecticut and had the best seats for any show I've ever had before or since (third row). They were also the most famous and iconic band I'd seen to that point and I have to say I was literaly start struck, awe struck, however you want to say it when the band came onstage. I'd go on to see them a few more times over the years, but nothing ever came close to that 81 tour so I wanted to commemorate that memory with this painting. I recently did a painting of Mick from this same tour and plan to do the rest of the band at some point as well.
