Before they were famous, the Beatles used a few different names before settling on what is now the most famous name in music. They were the Quarrymen first and then changed their name to Johhny & The Moondogs before changing back to the Quarrymen in 1959. From there they were the Silver Beatles and then of course The Beatles. I can tell you that whenever I wear this shirt I am guaranteed to get one of two comments...sometimes both. The first one is: "who are Johnny & The Moondogs?" The second one is "cool shirt" which is usually accompanied by a knowing grin that they know exactly who Johnny & The Moondogs were. I don't mind either one.
