Gil Scott-Heron's debut album, Pieces Of A Man was released on Flying Dutchman Records in 1971. It included the now legendary and iconic "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised". Scott-Heron combined his spoken word delivery with R&B, Soul, Jazz and Funk to create his own style and sound. No one else on the planet sounds like Gil Scott-Heron. History has finally started to acknowledge Scott-Heron as one of the most influential artists in the development of hip hop.
This poster was created to look aged and weathered to give a more authentic look. As with all of prints and posters, this is an original design featuring my own illustrations, graphic design and art work.
