Country Music legend Ernest Tubb opened his record shop in Nashville in 1947 and managed to survive for over 70 years. Sadly, the store is closing for good in Spring of 2022. In addition to it's iconic stature as a record store, the Ernest Tubb Record Shop also hosted the countries longest running radio show which was broadcast from the back of the store every Saturday night since the store opened. As a lifelong vinyl collector, and having had spent the 80's and most of the 90's working in record stores, it's painful for me to see this iconic shop close it's doors.
