I created a series of Art Prints immortalizing great Record Stores from around the world. As a life long record collector that spent nearly 20 years working in Record Shops back in the 80's and 90's, I have a passion for these treasures of the past that are gone forever. I know times change, but I find it sad that most music fans will never understand the amazing time when there were record shops on every corner. These posters were created as a reminder of those wonderful days. This is an interesting print, featuring two shops that existed in the same building. Soho Music Company and Daddy Kool Records. Sadly, neither store is still around. Daddy Kool opened in the eighties and specialized in Reggae, Ska and Roots Music. I can only imagine how cool it would have been to shop at Daddy Kool.
As with all of prints and posters, this is an original design featuring my own illustrations, graphic design and art work.
