Blue Goose Records was an independent record label established in 1970 by Nick Perls, as a sister label to his Yazoo Records which was founded in the mid-1960s and specialized in early American blues, country, jazz and other American genres commonly known as roots music. Yazoo compiled rare 78 RPM recording from the 1920s by artists such as Charley Patton and Blind Willie McTell, while his focus with Blue Goose Records was to rediscover more modern artists such as Son House
With Blue Goose, Perl rediscovered artists such as Sam Chatmon and Son House while also focusing on younger blues and jazz musicians.
Not to mention, the logo for Blue Goose Records is off-the-charts-cool so if you're a music historian, vinyl lover or a fan of jazz and/or blues, you need to order this shirt.
