As a life long vinyl collector, cassette tapes actually played a huge role in my life. I used to buy boxes of blank Maxell XLII tapes and as soon as I got a new album, I'd record it to have a copy for my car and / or boombox. I also loved making mixed tapes too. One of the best parts of making tapes was creating my own covers. I had some friend that would neatly label everything so their collection looked uniform but I liked to use all different color markers and and just write all over the covers.
