Like a lot of fans, I first became aware of Tom Petty when "Damn The Torpedos" was released in 1979. Little did I know I'd be following him for the next three decades. The first time I saw Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers it was on the 1986 True Confessions Tour with Bob Dylan and it was one of the great concert experiences of my life. I saw them later on subsequent tours and they delivered a knockout punch every single time.
