Camelot Music was a mall-based chain and at on point was one of the largest music retailers in the United States. In 1998, the company operated 455 stores in 37 states nationwide under two brand names: Camelot Music and The Wall. I sincerely feel sorry for young music fans today that never got to enjoy the glory days of music retail when there were records shops in every mall and on every other corner.
