U2 has been a favorite band of mine since the first time I heard them back when the War album came out. To this day, I think The Unforgettable Fire is one of the top 10 albums ever made. I've painted Bono in the past, but this is the first time since I converted to watercolor. The source photo is from the Joshua Tree era circa 1987. On an unrelated note, if you haven't read Bono's memoir yet, (Surrender), do yourself a favor and hit the library. It is a fantastic book.
